HIGHLIGHTS
Floyd 2, Brentwood 1: Ethan Loarco scored the winner in his first varsity game, and Floyd (7-4 in Suffolk I) clinched a playoff berth by dealing Brentwood its only loss. Loarco, a sophomore, has spent this season on the JV squad, but injuries suffered over the weekend opened a spot for him. He scored with two minutes left in the first half, two minutes after Brentwood's Roberto Ventura tied the game at 1. "That was absolutely key," coach Paul Paniccia said. "What a great way to start his varsity career."
