Longwood 3, West Islip 2: Kaitlyn DuBritz had 41 assists in No. 11 Longwood's 17-25, 23-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-20 victory over No. 6 West Islip in the first round of the Suffolk Class AA playoffs. Emily Knauth had 18 kills, Nina Vanderhoof had 11 kills and Bella Perrone had 21 digs. Morgan Sullivan added nine digs and Ainsley Hololob added 7 blocks. Longwood (11-6) will face Commack 4 p.m. Tuesday in the quarterfinals.
