HIGHLIGHTS
Syosset 3, Oceanside 1: Madeline Silvestri posted a double-double with 10 kills and 16 digs to lead No. 3 Syosset past No. 6 Oceanside in four sets, 25-17, 25-27, 25-19, 25-18, in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Class AAA girls volleyball playoffs. Anne Toth also finished with a double-double, collecting 24 assists and 13 digs. While splitting the setter's duty with Toth, Erika Ahn picked up 15 assists and served four aces. Claudia Cusa led the team with 18 kills in the win and chipped in six digs. Syosset (11-4) will face No. 2 Massapequa 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Great Neck North in the semifinals. Oceanside finished 7-10.
