Center Moriches 3, Southampton 2: No. 1 Center Moriches won a five-set thriller over No. 3 Southampton, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 25-22, 15-7 in the Suffolk Class B championship at Hauppauge High School. Center Moriches (15-2) advances to the state quarterfinal round to compete for the Class B Long Island championship against Nassau's Oyster Bay on Nov. 15 at Wantagh High School at 7 p.m. Bailey Brown had 12 kills, two assists and 26 digs for Southampton (10-7), and Haven Daley added eight assists and 27 digs. Danna Nieto had four kills, four aces and 12 digs. Bea Pariz had four kills, 11 digs, a block and four aces.
