Sachem East 3, Bay Shore 0: Bridget Hansen picked up 10 kills and two blocks while Samantha Madigan had 20 assists, two aces and five digs to lead No. 4 Sachem East past No. 5 Bay Shore in the quarterfinals of the Suffolk Class AAA playoffs. Gabriella Rice added six kills and three blocks while Emily Chiappetta and Faith Sheltra combined four blocks and six kills in the 25-22, 25-22, 25-23 victory. Sachem East (14-3) will visit No. 1 Commack in the semifinals on Monday. Bay Shore finished 12-5.
