Billy Murphy had 22 kills and seven aces, and Michael Lane added 41 assists as No. 2 and host Bethpage defeated No. 3 Great Neck North, 25-13, 25-23, 22-25, 25-23, in a Nassau Class B semifinal Tuesday. PJ Russo had 16 digs and 13 kills for Bethpage, which faces Bellmore JFK for the B title at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at SUNY Old Westbury. The Golden Eagles last reached the A finals when they won back-to-back crowns in 2007 and 2006.
