East Meadow's Stephanie Echeverry scored with 48 seconds remaining in the second half to force overtime. Sophia Valentin, Grace Conway, Valeria Catrambone and Chrystal Posada scored for Long Beach in penalty shots and Emma Gilroy (seven saves) saved the final penalty kick to secure the win. Long Beach plays at No. 4 Calhoun Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
