West Islip 2, Northport 0: Alyssa Gillespie knocked in a rebound just two minutes in to lead No. 5 West Islip (14-3-1) over top-seeded Northport (16-2) in the Class AA semifinals. Cassidy Rollman added a goal off a through ball from Vanessa Cosantino in the 22nd minute. Carly Koehler anchored the defense in the shutout and Cali Loeffler made 12 saves. West Islip advances to play No. 2 Smithtown West in the county final on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Dowling.
