HIGHLIGHTS

MIDDLETOWN, N.Y. — The Half Hollow Hills West boys soccer team had an amazing postseason run. But unfortunately, the Colts ran into the top team in the state and a top-five team in the country in Rochester McQuaid Jesuit. Hills West lost, 6-0, in the state Class AA final at Faller Field at Middletown High School on Sunday. Hills West, guided by coach Doug Gannon, finishes the season 18-4-2. It was the first-ever state final appearance for the Colts. Dominic Duncan had two goals --both in the first half -- for McQuaid Jesuit (22-0). The Knights scored three goals in each half.
