Griffin made a save against Bellmore JFK goalkeeper Chris Moussavi (eight saves) on the previous penalty kick to keep the shootout even at 4. Ethan Senatore scored the fourth goal of the shootout to even it for Garden City. Garden City (10-2-4) had lost three of previous four seasons in the playoffs on penalty kicks, according to coach Paul Cutter.
