HIGHLIGHTS
Northport 1, Whitman 0: Konstantine Mendrinos scored on a header with 2:00 remaining in overtime off an assist from Brian Tannenbaum to lead Northport (7-3) in Suffolk II. Tannenbaum dribbled the ball down the left sideline, sent a lofting ball into the box and found the head of Mendrinos. Northport earned its second win over the defending Suffolk Class AA champions this season and clinched a playoff spot, according to head coach Don Strasser.
