HIGHLIGHTS
Mineola 2, Island Trees 1: Dimas Cabrera scored on a penalty kick with 21 minutes left in the first half to give Mineola a 2-0 lead in its Nassau ABC-III win. Mineola (5-4-2) clinched a playoff berth with the victory, according to coach Paul Pereira. Dimas also got the assist on freshman Christian Melendez's goal, and fellow freshman Manny Mirao made eight saves. Melendez and Mirao both made their varsity debut.
