HIGHLIGHTS
Matt Sloan scored two goals and assisted on another as Hicksville triumphed at home in the Nassau AA-II opener for both teams. Sloan scored on a header in the first half, used his foot to score in the second half and concluded scoring with a pass to Nick Scaraglio with five minutes left. Scaraglio assisted on Sloan's first goal and Storm Strongin assisted on Sloan's second. Connor McPartland made five saves for the shutout. Alec Somerstein made 10 saves for Oceanside, seven in the first half when the Comets had numerous scoring opportunities.
