MacArthur 2, Plainview JFK 0: Anthony Rocchio was at the right place at the right time when he put in the rebound of a Chris Roditis shot on goal in the 57th minute of No. 3 MacArthur's (13-0-3) Nassau Class AA semifinal win over second-seeded Plainview JFK (11-1-2). Rocchio's goal made it 1-0 Generals, before Kevin Clifford scored in the 79th minute to make it 2-0. Clifford's goal was assisted by Roditis. Greg Baumstein cleared a shot off the goal line in the final 10 minutes to preserve a 1-0 lead for MacArthur goalkeeper Sean Lyons, who recorded four saves. Eric Levin made four saves for the Hawks. The Generals advance to the county final, where it will take on No. 4 Syosset, at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hofstra.
