HIGHLIGHTS
After scoreless play through regulation and two overtime periods, third-seeded Farmingdale (13-3-3) outscored No. 1 Oceanside (14-1-3) 2-0 on penalty kicks to technically win 1-0 in the Nassau Class AAA title game. It was the Dalers' first outright county championship in program history. Noah Bekele and Anthony Princi scored in PKs and goalkeeper Jonathan Buonomo stopped all four Oceanside attempts. Buonomo made 12 saves before PKs. Collin Schirrmacher made seven saves before PKs for the Sailors. Farmingdale will play for the Long Island AAA championship Wednesday at Patchogue-Medford against the winner of Sunday's Suffolk AAA final between Commack and Lindenhurst.
