Smithtown Christian 4, Eldred (Section IX) 0: Giovanni Cervini scored the fourth goal to cap the second half scoring for Smithtown Christian in its 4-0 win over Eldred (Section IX) in the Class D Sub Regional Tuesday at Middletown High School. Matt Drzymala scored first in the 53rd minute, followed by Jeremiah Shaw and Tim Voisich. "Delivering the ball in the box was the biggest difference in the second half," Smithtown Christian coach Pat Nieto said. "Once we did that, we were able to score and it built up the intensity on our part." Smithtown Christian (6-7-1) moves on to face Fort Ann at 3 p.m. Saturday at Colonie Hill High School in Albany in the Southeast Regional Championship.
