Ryan Dearie placed fifth in the high school boys invitational 1000-meter run at the Armory with a time of 2:29.44. The time is a new St. Anthony's High School record, besting Thomas Louro's 2014 record of 2:30.81, according to coach Tim Dearie. Dearie also said it is the No. 1 time of Long Island this season.
