Garden City 9, East Meadow: Tom Engelke shot a 31 to lead Garden City (6-0) in Nassau IV on the back tees of the front nine of the blue course at Eisenhower Park. Garden City set a new program record with a 184 team total, the first time in 18 years, according to coach Jim Malone. "I've been coaching a lot of years and we've had many good players," Malone said. "Mark Vitels had a 2-under 34, Morgan Miller recorded a 1-under 35. I haven't ever had that. The other kids played well, too."
