Eastport-South Manor 18, East Hampton 17: Jayden Durham caught the winning 8-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Beardsley with 30 seconds left to lead host Eastport-South Manor in a Suffolk III opener. Durham caught five passes for 51 and TDs. Tommy Powers forced fumble and Brayden Huff recovered it at midfield with four minutes left to set the Sharks up for their game-winning drive. Beardsley completed 11 of 19 pass for 156 yards and three TDs and Max Ferraro had an 8-yard TD catch. Huff had six tackles, Powers had four tackles and a sack. Joe Hersey had 14 carries for 60 yards, a 29-yard reception and an interception. Livs Kuplins caught a 15-yard TD pass from Theo Ball, Jai Feaster had a 3-yard TD run and Manny Morales kicked a 25-yard field goal for East Hampton.
