Manhasset 17, Elmont 14: Kyle Melkonian made a 28-yard field goal with less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter to break a tie at 14 for Manhasset (5-1) in Nassau III. Melkonian had a 30-yard reception on a screen pass to set up his field goal. He added nine tackles. Manhasset stopped Elmont on a fourth-and-goal on the final play to seal the victory. Atif Heathington had 158 all-purpose yards, including a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to give Manhasset a 14-7 lead in the second quarter. Manhasset forced three turnovers in the win. Elmont falls to 4-2.
