Center Moriches 24, Mercy 6: Tarik Rountree finished with five receptions for 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns to lead Center Moriches (2-0) in Division IV. Rountree's 36-yard touchdown reception from Tyrell Thomas gave the Red Devils an 18-0 advantage with 8:30 left in the third quarter. Thomas' third touchdown pass, a 6-yard reception by Rountree, pushed the lead up to 24-0. Thomas completed 8 of 15 passes for 193 yards. Reggie Archer's 2-yard score came with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter for Mercy (0-2).
