Smithtown West 20, Newfield 8: Michael Cascione intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown while also making nine tackles to lead Smithtown West (6-1) in a defensive slugfest over Newfield (5-2) in Suffolk II. Jason Antunes rushed for a three-yard touchdown to start the scoring. In the fourth quarter, while trailing 8-7, Nick Devito threw an 87-yard touchdown to Jake Rearick to give Smithtown West the lead for good. Afterwards, Cascione's 35-yard pick six iced the game. Nick Zins added six tackles in the win. Matthew Evers threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Branden McDaniels for Newfield.
