Patchogue-Medford 34, Riverhead 29: Tommy Kelly rushed 12 times for 86 yards and three touchdowns, and Brett Rupolo completed 4 of 6 passing attempts, including the game-winning 33-yard touchdown to Jackson Wustenhoff with 1:42 remaining in the game, for Patchogue-Medford football (1-2) Saturday at Riverhead in Suffolk I. Kelly also completed a 65-yard passing touchdown to Monty Degasperi, who later iced the game by forcing and recovering a fumble on the final Riverhead drive. Patchogue-Medford finished with 193 yards rushing, with Aaron Heuther adding 48 yards on seven carries. Dominic Pertillar had had 11 tackles on defense and had a great game on offense as a lead blocker. Monty Degasperi forced and recovered a fumble on the ensuing drive to close the game. Karter Doyle ran in three touchdowns for Riverhead (1-2).
