Long Beach 48, Herricks 0: Liam Rafferty completed 9 of 12 passes for 173 yards and four touchdowns to lead Long Beach (2-0) over Herricks (1-1) in Conference II. Rafferty, who also had 66 rushing yards, scrambled for 14 yards and ran for Long Beach's first touchdown halfway through the first. Long Beach then scored on their first drive of the second quarter, which was capped by Rafferty's 54-yard pass to Marke Sutton, who ran a fly pattern. Long Beach then poured it on with 34 unanswered points. Chris Parler ran for a touchdown and 70 yards on 10 carries, and he also caught a 17-yard pass from Rafferty for a touchdown in the third. The Marines, led by Nick Nigro who had a team-high eight tackles, held Herricks to 75 yards of total offense.
