Plainedge 49, Hewlett 14: Davien Kuinlan ran for five touchdowns in Nassau III. All together, Kuinlan amassed 303 yards on 24 carries. The junior now has 12 touchdowns this season. Kuinlan’s first touchdown, a three yard score, came with 10:15 left in the first quarter. His second, a two yard scamper, came four minutes later. He had a 25-yard run with 10:00 left in the second and broke through on a 33-yarder with three minutes left in the second quarter. His lone second half score was a 54-yard run in the third quarter that gave Plainedge (3-0) a 35-8 lead.Nick Checchia caught two passes for 49 yards. He also ran for 20 yards and had an interception. Brian Flynn added another interception. Anthony Bowles and Jonathan Piggott both had seven tackles.
