The Knights got a pair of huge plays in the final 6:25 to win a Nassau III semifinal at Hofstra. They stopped Wantagh on a fourth-and-1 on the 2-yard line to preserve a 6-3 lead with Brendan O'Sullivan being joined by senior James Driscoll and senior Chase McLoughlin on the tackle. And on the ensuing possession, senior running back Ben Meighan capped a 99-yard drive with a 70-yard touchdown run to seal the win. Meighan finished with 131 rushing yards on 13 carries. Floral Park (7-3) will meet No. 2 South Side in next Friday's 7:30 p.m. county championship game at Hofstra. The Knights last won a county title in 1976.
