HIGHLIGHTS
The Bayport-Blue Point football team defeated North Shore, 35-7, in the Class IV Long Island championship game Friday at Hofstra University. It marks the Phantoms' first Long Island title in program history. Senior quarterback Brady Clark rushed for two touchdowns and threw for two more. His touchdown runs, both in the second quarter, came from 5 and 3 yards out to give Bayport-Blue Point a 14-7 halftime lead. Michael Luce caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Clark on third-and-8 to give the Phantoms a 21-7 lead entering the fourth quarter. Clark found JJ Aiello for a 44-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter before Danny Aiello scored on a 41-yard run for the final touchdown of the game. The only North Shore (11-1) touchdown came on 4th and 8, when Peter Liotta found Nick Livoti for a 39-yard score the tie the game at 7-7 in the second quarter. Bayport-Blue Point finishes the season 11-0.
