Half Hollow Hills West 39, Islip 22: Zachary Vasconcellos scored two touchdowns to help No. 2 Half Hollow Hills West defeat No. 7 Islip in the first round of the Suffolk III playoffs. Both of Vasconcellos' runs were from six yards out, one in the third quarter and one in the fourth quarter. Joseph Filardi threw three touchdowns for Hills West. Jalyn Jacques rushed for 184 yards on 19 carries and 1 touchdown. Ryan Bonocore, Anthony Raio and Jesse Brooks each caught one touchdown from Filardi. Hills West (8-1) will play No. 3 Westhampton on Nov. 12, at Hills West, in the semifinals.
