East Meadow 55, Hempstead 18: Brian Kavanagh scored two touchdowns and ran for 76 yards on five attempts to lead East Meadow (1-0) in its Conference I win. John Wilson ran for one touchdown and 43 yards on eight carries, and Billy Piano had one touchdown and 41 yards on two attempts.
