Herricks 19, Roslyn/Friends Academy 17: Tommy Napolitano stepped up in the pocket avoiding the rush and found Cooper LaRock in the back corner of the end zone for a 25-yard touchdown with 12 seconds left in the fourth quarter for the game's final points as Herricks defeated Roslyn, 19-17, in Nassau Conference II football Friday. LaRock made the winning catch over two defenders. He had three touchdowns, starting with a 5-yard touchdown run in the third quarter after Roslyn/Friends Academy scored the first 17 points of the contest. He added a 1-yard touchdown run later in the quarter after returning a fumble to the 1-yard line for Herricks (1-7). Amr Ibrahim forced the fumble leading to the score. LaRock also intercepted a fake punt in the fourth quarter. Ryan Griffith and Thomas Gaudio combined to make a pivotal tackle on fourth-and-2, leading to Herrick's winning drive and score.
