Island Trees 35, Clarke 28: Joe Filocamo had an 86-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown with 5:06 left in the fourth quarter to break a tie at 28 as Island Trees defeated Clarke, 35-28, in Nassau Conference IV football on Saturday. Ben Quinn hit the quarterback on a third-and-8 option run to force the game-changing fumble. Matt Norberg had a sack on fourth-and-8 at the Clarke 47-yard line with 2:30 left to seal the win. Mike Coppeto had a 61-yard touchdown run down the left sideline after breaking three tackles to tie the score at 28 with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter for Island Trees (4-3). Coppeto rushed for 113 yards on 10 carries and added a 6-yard touchdown reception from Nicholas Saragossi. Saragossi completed 5 of 7 passes with a passing and rushing score. Quinn had two receptions for 60 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown reception. Filocamo had five tackles, including a sack, and Danny Zamroz had seven tackles.
