Division 34, Valley Stream South 12: Fred Gray went untouched for a 75-yard touchdown run to give Division the lead on the team's first of play of their second drive in the opener for both teams in Nassau III. Valley Stream South scored first after they recovered the ball on the opponent's 5 and punched it in three plays later. Division continued to respond with Gray, who finished with 226 rushing yards, leading the way. Division pulled away, 21-12 at halftime. Dylan Gruber capped off a nine play, 65-yard drive five minutes into the second half with a pass to Jay Vanasco for a touchdown. Fred Gray, a safety had an interception and seven tackles. Renato Gamboa, created pressure which led to four turnovers also added seven tackles from the defensive end position.
