Smithtown West 41, Copiague 13: Junior quarterback Danny Caroussos was 15-for-19 for 190 yards and two touchdowns in his first varsity start to lead Smithtown West (1-0) in Division II. Smithtown West took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and led 28-6 at halftime, after Caroussos found freshman Chris Crespo for a 22-yard touchdown with 1:14 left in the first half. Garrett Brunsvold extended Smithtown West's lead to 35-13 with a 25-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Brunsvold had 21 carries for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Nicolas Peragallo had a team-high seven tackles for the Bulls.
