HIGHLIGHTS
Plainedge (12-0) rallied from a three-point halftime deficit with 19 unanswered points in the third quarter to win the Long Island Class III championship at Hofstra's Shuart Stadium. Dylan Pepe had 106 rushing yards and two touchdowns and Travis Shaver and Joe Iadevaio each had touchdown runs for the Red Devils. Shaver had 93 rushing yards including a 27-yard dash on a fourth-and-25 late in the game to keep the ball away from East Islip (10-2). Derek Burrell rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown and also threw for a touchdown for EI.
