Lindenhurst 22, Northport 20: QB David Varela led a comeback completing 7-of-10 passes for 64 yards and rushed nine times for 32 yards and a touchdown in No. 1 Lindenhurst's (9-1) win over No. 4 Northport in the Suffolk Division II semifinals. Danny DeFelice was dominant on the defensive line with 15 tackles and two sacks. Jake Trovato added six tackles and a sack. Chris Carson had seven tackles and a sack. Trovato had 111 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries. Lindenhurst will now face the winner of No. 2 Bellport /No. 3 Half Hollow Hills East in the finals on Saturday at Stony Brook University at 7 p.m.
