Roosevelt 20, Valley Stream South 0: Jashir Gayle scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter, Xavier Cooper added a 19-yard score in the fourth quarter and BJ Norman sealed the game with a 17-yard score later in the fourth to lead Roosevelt (3-3) in Nassau III. Bakail Talmadge picked off a pass in the red zone to halt a Valley Stream Central drive prior to the Cooper TD. Gayle rushed for 55 yards and a score on six carries, Cooper rushed for 54 yards and a score on seven carries and Taje Clark ran for 104 yards on 18 carries. Jeremiah Edmonds had eight tackles and a sack, Sendel Garrett added six tackles and two sacks, Zavier Garrell had a fumble recovery and Stephan Branton collected a sack. Valley Stream South fell to 1-5.
