Freeport (3-1) outscored Hempstead, 14-0, in the fourth quarter, capped off by D'Angelo Gordon's 33-yard touchdown run with 4:18 remaining in the fourth quarter for the game's final score. Gordon rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns on 18 attempts and completed 5 of 9 passes for 39 yards and a touchdown. Jakkai Stith rushed for 161 yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts and passed for a touchdown for Hempstead (1-3). He also had a 76-yard interception return for a touchdown as a part of Hempstead's 20-point third quarter.
