Syosset 17, Freeport 14. Anthony Carchietta, running out of the wildcat, scored on a 6-yard run with 1:47 left and helped Syosset’s defense hold on in a Nassau I quarterfinal at Syosset. The Braves (6-3) will face No. 1 seed Farmingdale on Saturday at Hofstra. Carchietta and A.J. Aronson each had eight tackles for Syosset which knocked away three passes in the end zone on the Red Devils’ final drive, including the final play of the game. Freeport finished 6-3.
