Garden City 33, Mepham 30: On a double-reverse pass, receiver Matt Borges took the second hand-off and hit a wide open Chris Larkin for what proved to be the winning touchdown with seven minutes left as No. 2 Garden City defeated No. 7 Mepham in a Conference II quarterfinal. Garden City (8-1) trailed by 10 points with 11:23 left in the game. Brett Stewart completed five straight passes, the last being a 3-yard pass to James Sullivan for a touchdown to put Garden City within three with about 10 minutes left. After Mepham turned the ball over on downs, Garden City scored on the double-reverse pass on its first play. Tyler Davis ran for 194 yards and four touchdowns on 35 carries for Mepham (4-5). Brett Stewart completed 11 of 17 passes for 128 yards and three touchdowns for Garden City.
