Newfield 9, North Babylon 6: The Newfield defense stopped North Babylon on fourth-and-1 with 30 seconds remaining on the 6-yard line to seal the victory in Suffolk II. The defense held North Babylon scoreless for 45 minutes after Joel Lomax rushed for a 67-yard score on the opening drive. James Hannon's 2-yard touchdown run, followed by successful extra point kick by Jadon Forthe gave Newfield (3-2) a 7-6 lead in the second quarter. They went ahead 9-6 on a safety in the fourth quarter after the ball was snapped out of the end zone. Joe Hackal rushed for 82 yards on 13 carries in the victory. North Babylon fell to 2-3.
