Lindenhurst 42, North Babylon 27: Jake Trovato rushed for 201 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries and had 14 tackles to lead Lindenhurst (1-0) in Suffolk II. He opened the scoring with a 75-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Brendan O'Connor completed 8 of 13 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 48 yards on three carries, including a 26-yard touchdown to give Lindenhurst a 28-7 lead in the third quarter. Chris Carson had four receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown and added 10 tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception. Danny DeFelice had 16 tackles and two sacks in the win.
