Sayville 41, Hauppauge 7: Jack Cheshire connected with CJ Messina for a 15-yard touchdown to give Sayville (5-0) a 13-0 lead in the first quarter in a Suffolk Conference III semifinal. Cheshire completed 14 of 23 passes for 192 yards and three touchdowns and Messina had seven receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Millwater rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries, including a 6-yard score to give Sayville a 20-0 lead in the second quarter. Nick Casaburi had two interceptions and Max Llewellyn had two sacks in the win. Ty Kolar added seven tackles and 1.5 sacks and Tom Cea had five tackles and 1.5 sacks for Sayville. The Golden Flashes host Westhampton in the Suffolk Conference III championship Saturday.
