HIGHLIGHTS
Kellenberg 35, St. John the Baptist 25: Griffin Chernoff rushed 13 times for 83 yards and had touchdown runs of 15 yards and 35 yards in a 21-point third quarter for Kellenberg in the final game of the season in CHSFL. The 35-yard score followed by the extra point, capped 28 unanswered points by the Firebirds. Maximus Mongelli recorded an interception on the first play of the second quarter to stop a Cougars drive deep in Kellenberg territory. Mongelli also caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Ethan Greenwood later in the quarter to give Kellenberg a 13-10 lead. Kevan Siwik added the PAT to give the Firebirds a 14-10 lead the the half. Thomas Sluka had a 1-yard rushing touchdown early in the third quarter and finished with 85 rushing yards and two scores on 14 carries. He also completed 4 of 6 passes for 52 yards. Kellenberg (5-0) combined for 205 rushing yards, and Michael Gillam and Aidan Henry both also recorded interceptions.
