Newfield 34, Connetquot 13: Devin Aviles rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries to lead Newfield (1-4) in Non-League. Joe Hackal ran for 93 yards on 10 carries and added a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown to put the game away in the fourth quarter. James Hannon added 43 yards and two scores on six carries and had a key fumble recovery in the third quarter. Connetquot pulled within eight points in the third quarter after a Nick Lamantia 5-yard touchdown run, but the Newfield defense forced turnovers on the next two Thunderbirds' drives to seal the victory. Eight different players carried the ball for Newfield, who averaged over seven yards per rush.
