HIGHLIGHTS
Whitman 16, Sachem North 14: Rasahn Thompson intercepted Chris Kelly's pass in the end zone as time expired to seal the win in Suffolk II. It was the second interception in the end zone of the game for Whitman. J.T. Villella had one earlier in the game. Whitman took a 16-0 lead in the third quarter after a 40-yard field goal by Josh Arevalo, but Sachem North scored twice in the fourth to pull within two points. Thompson had two interceptions in the win and Jeremyah St. Croix deflected a pass to break up a Sachem North two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter. A.J. Evans rushed for 80 yards on 20 carries and Kyle Owens caught three passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. His 8-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter gave Whitman a 13-0 lead. Jonathan Maldonaldo rushed for 25 yards on five carries for Whitman (2-1). Sachem North is 2-1.
