HIGHLIGHTS
Connetquot 41, Copiague 8: Jovanni Montalvo rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries to lead Connetquot in Suffolk League III. The Thunderbirds led 34-0 at halftime. Matthew Marra completed all six of his passes in the first half for 104 yards and threw a 41-yard touchdown pass to Brett Harvey. Marra also rushed for a touchdown. The defense was led by Kevin Gatien, Matthew Gomez, Vincent Catania and Tyler Youmans. Connetquot (1-2) recovered three fumbles and held Copiague scoreless offensively. The lone Eagles' touchdown came on a fumble recovery from Brian Garcia in the third quarter.
