Whitman 28, Ward Melville 25: Chris Silverio caught a one-handed 42-yard touchdown pass from Nicholas Bottoni with 16 seconds left for the final score in Whitman's (1-1) Suffolk II victory. It was Bottoni's third touchdown pass of the day as he hit both Brandon Ivy and Kyle Owens for long scores earlier. Bottoni finished with 270 yards on 11 completions. Ivy started the scoring with a 20-yard interception return for a touchdown after a jarring hit from Dan Smith. AJ Evans had 80 rushing yards on 10 carries. Smith, Liam Villanti, and Sean Bock led the defense with eight tackles and a sack each.
