Roosevelt 18, Valley Stream South 12: Melvyn Johnson scored from six yards out on fourth-and-goal in overtime to lead Roosevelt in Nassau Conference III. Roosevelt (2-1) stopped Valley Stream South fourth-and-goal on the Falcons first possession of overtime. Johnson rushed for 101 yards and two scores on five carries and had a 50-yard fumble recovery in the third quarter to tie the score at 6. His 60-yard run in the fourth quarter tied the score at 12. Yasir Shabazz-Allah opened the scoring with 1-yard run in the first quarter and added a 32-yard run in the fourth quarter to give the Falcons a 12-6 lead. Xavier Cooper had 14 tackles, four for a loss, Trammel Gore had an interception and Johnson added a sack and a forced fumble.
