Central Islip 40, Copiauge 6: Senior running back Kevin Mowatt rushed for 186 yards and four touchdowns on 20 carries to lead Central Islip (4-4) over Copiague (1-7) in Suffolk II. Mowatt broke a run around the outside for a 16-yard touchdown run with 3:52 remaining in the half, giving Central Islip a 22-0 lead. Senior running back Denzel Abolo rushed for 94 yards on eight carries. At defensive end, Abolo had seven tackles. "Denzel did a good job rushing the ball and blocking today," coach Joe Taormina said. Linebacker Mike Myers led the defense with nine tackles.
