Sachem North 35, Carey 34: Michael Heffernen scored the go-ahead touchdown on an 11-yard pass from Chris Kelly and Chris Escalante converted the ensuing extra point in overtime to lead Sachem North (2-0) in non-league. Dean Metzger scored a one-yard touchdown on the following possession for Carey, but the Seahawks failed to convert on a two-point conversion running attempt, sealing the victory for Sachem North. Cameron Lee had 21 carries for 187 yards and three touchdowns for Sachem North. Metzger threw two touchdown passes to Kyle Lewis in the fourth quarter to tie the score at 28 and force overtime.
